Admiralty Grey is the original color specified by the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 1973 for nylon watch straps used by the British Army. This specification was subsequently adopted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), where these straps were assigned a NATO stock number (NSN).
